The ring wall Eichenschlag , also called Wallburg Hörmannsdorf , is located in the area of Eichensee , today a district of the Upper Palatinate town of Parsberg in the Neumarkt district in the Upper Palatinate of Bavaria . The ring wall is located 870 m north-northeast of Eichensee in the Eichelschlag forest.
description
The rampart has a horseshoe-shaped shape with a side open to the east, which is based on the rocky edge of the steep slope. The inner area is 40 × 35 m, the wall is up to 6 m wide and 0.6 m high. The existing breakthroughs are recent, at the southeast end there is free access to the steep slope.
