The Beach Soccer World Championship 1998 was the fourth edition of the world championship tournament for men in beach soccer . For the first time, 10 participants took part in the tournament. The tournament took place from January 17th to 25th, 1998 in Copacabana , Rio de Janeiro , Brazil for the fourth time in a row.
