The beach soccer world championship in 1999 was the fifth edition of the world championship tournament for men in beach soccer . For the first time, 12 participants took part in the tournament. The tournament took place from January 10 to 17, 1999 in Copacabana , Rio de Janeiro , Brazil for the fifth time in a row.
