Bear's Den is a folk and indie band from Great Britain .
history
Bear's Den was founded in London in 2012 . The band consists of Andrew Davie (lead singer and guitar), Kevin Jones (singer, drums and guitar) and Joey Haynes (singer, banjo and guitar), who, however, left the band in spring 2016 and went through for the 2016/2017 tour Europe and North America was replaced by the Dutchman Christof van der Ven (not as an official member).
Bear's Den has released three albums to date: Islands was released on October 20, 2014, their second studio album, Red Earth & Pouring Rain, on July 22, 2016, and So That You Might Hear Me on April 26, 2019. Islands was ranked 49th in the UK Album charts. In 2019 they released 5 singles.
In 2012 the band completed their first tour through the USA, followed by numerous other appearances, including with Mumford & Sons and Daughter , as well as tours through Europe and Australia. In July 2019 Bear's Den appeared as the opening act for Neil Young's four concerts in Germany . In July 2019 the band performed at the Hurricane Festival in Scheeßel and at the end of November 2019 in the cities of Munich, Cologne and Hamburg (which were sold out).

Awards
The band has been nominated for several music awards over the course of their career, with Above the Clouds of Pompeii earning the band a nomination for the Ivor Novello Award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically 2015. The band received two nominations for the UK Americana Awards 2016, Artist of the Year and Song of the Year for Agape . In June 2014, Bear's Den won the Monumentum Deezer Award from the PRS for Music Foundation, worth £ 2,500 (around EUR 3400 ) .
