Beat Ludwig von Mülinen (born September 1, 1521 - † August 7, 1597 in Bern ) was mayor of the city ​​of Bern .

Beat Ludwig was the son of Kaspar von Mülinen and grandson of Ludwig von Diesbach . His first marriage was to Margaretha Nägeli, daughter of Hans Franz Nägeli, and his second marriage to Anna von Wyngarten. From 1542 he sat on the Grand Council, was from 1543 to 1550 mayor of Burgdorf , from 1552 he was member of the small council, from 1552 to 1560 governor of Gex and from 1568 to 1597 mayor of Bern. He took over numerous Bernese legations to the Diet , to France and Savoy . In 1579, Mülinen negotiated the treaty between France, Bern and Solothurn to protect Geneva, and in 1589 Bern renounced the Bailiwick of Gex, Thonon and Ternier in favor of Savoy.

In 1570 he bought Wittigkofen Castle .
