Beatha Nishimwe (born December 1, 1998 in Uwinkingi ) is a Rwandan middle distance runner .

Athletic career

Beatha Nishimwe gained her first international experience at the Junior African Championships 2015 in Addis Ababa , where she finished fifth in the 1,500 meter run in 4: 40.49 minutes . She then won the African Youth Championships in Réduit in 4: 17.37 min . She qualified for the Youth World Championships in Cali , where she finished tenth in 4: 23.16 minutes. In 2016 she retired from the World Indoor Championships in Portland with 4: 19.39 minutes in the first round and finished seventh at the African Championships in Durban in 4: 08.75 minutes. Then she was sixth at the U20 World Championships in Bydgoszcz in 4: 12.33 min. The following year she finished sixth at the Junior African Championships in Tlemcen in 4: 42.58 min. In 2018 she took part in the Commonwealth Games in the Australian Gold Coast for the first time and was eliminated there with 4: 14.96 minutes in advance. In August she was eighth at the African Championships in Asaba in 4: 19.55 minutes.
