Mary Wangari Kuria (born November 29, 1987 ) is a Kenyan middle-distance runner who specializes in the 1,500 meter run .

Athletic career

Mary Kuria gained her first international experience at the 2012 African Championships in Porto-Novo , where she won the silver medal behind Moroccan Rababe Arafi in 4: 06.22 minutes . In 2018 she took part in the Commonwealth Games in the Australian Gold Coast for the first time, finishing ninth there in 4: 05.88 minutes. In August, she was seventh at the African Championships in Asaba in 4: 17.70 min. The following year she won the silver medal behind her compatriot Quailyne Jebiwott Kiprop at the African Games in Rabat in 4: 20.19 minutes .
