Beatie Edney (* 23. October 1962 in North Kensington , London , as Beatrice Edney ) is a British actress .

life and career

Beatie Edney was born in North Kensington on October 23, 1962 . She is the daughter of British actress Sylvia Syms .

She took her first steps as an actress at the age of eight in the film A Day at the Beach .

She gained worldwide fame in 1986 with the role of Heather MacLeod in the film Highlander - There Can Only Be One . That role earned her iconic status in the Highlander franchises and she re-played the role in the sequel Highlander: Endgame in 2000.

Outside of the Highlander universe, her acting career stalled. You could play smaller roles like in the films In the Name of the Father or Mister Johnson , but the big success failed. Beatie Edney worked mainly for British television such as the sitcom Dressing for Breakfast on Channel 4 , in which she appeared between 1995 and 1998. On the theater stage, she was seen in the play The Girlfriend Experience .
