Béatrice Thomas

Beatrice Thomas (born June 9, 1984 in New York City ) is a German funk and soul singer of American origin. She appears in public under her stage name "BB Thomaz". She lives in North Rhine-Westphalia .

life and career

Thomas, born as the daughter of a German Buddhist and an Afro-American author and musician, also worked as a model for sporting goods manufacturers Puma and Nike, among others . She completed her studies in musicology at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . As a singer, Thomas was in the foreground of the bands StreetLIVE Family , King Kamehameha Club Band , Ladies Live , New City Beats and Technotronic . She also worked as a background singer in other bands, such as Sandra , UB40 and The Temptations . In 2017 Thomas took part in the seventh season of The Voice of Germany and took fourth place there. In 2010 she released her first album under the title Blackbird .

On February 22, 2019 she took part in Our Song for Israel with the song Demons . In the weeks before, she released two new songs, "Much More" and "Brand New", which were created in collaboration with producer Daniel Wierczeiko.
