Beerfelde (noble family)

Beerfelde is the name of an old noble family in Brandenburg . In the Oder-Spree district there is a town of the same name, Beerfelde . The place has been part of the Steinhöfel community since 2002 .

history

The von Beerfelde family belongs to the middle-market nobility with the headquarters of the same name near Lebus . The first documented appearance of the family happened in 1358 with Peter and Betkino de Berenuelde. The sex continues to flourish today. One line of the family went out in 1805 with Ferdinand von Beerfelde. The Lossow estate near Frankfurt (Oder) belonged to the family by name. A Beerfeld Majorat existed for the Sommerfeld , Grabkow and Düberow estates , which originally belonged to the Bredow family . The family's possessions can also be found in the following Brandenburg towns: Falkenberg near Fürstenwalde , Görlsdorf (Vierlinden) , Hathenow , Neuhardenberg and Worin .

After the Reformation secularized Elector Joachim II. 1540 the Cistercian - Kloster Friedland and pulled his goods. In 1546 he pledged what was now the domain estate to Balthasar von Beerfelde, who only held the estate, which extended to the Klostersee , until 1564.

The coat of arms of the house consists of a shield divided vertically in two halves with a blue and gold side. Whereby a silver star is shown on the blue side. On the helmet are two buffalo horns, divided into blue and red. There are three stars on the muzzle and three black feathers on a piston in the middle.
