The Bega River is a river in the southeast of the Australian state of New South Wales .
geography
The river rises at Moran's Crossing on the Snowy Mountains Highway in the Kybeyan Range , a mountain range of the Great Dividing Range , and flows first to the southeast and east. South of Bega it turns its course north, flows through the city and turns again to the east. North of Tathra it flows into the Tasman Sea .
