Luise Hempel runs the pub "Bei Mudder Liesl" in the heart of the city of Frankfurt. The only employee is the grumpy waiter Schorsch. The already existing tensions between Luise and her daughter Margret receive additional nourishment when Luise prepares to sell the property to the building contractor Marbach, who urgently needs it for his building plans. Margret is against a sale, her siblings are for it. After careful consideration, Luise finally decides against the sale.
Others
For the main roles in particular, director Erich Neureuther was able to fall back on well-known actors in this series with a lot of local color , who gave the production the necessary Hessian flair alongside the backdrop. The outdoor shots of the economy were shot in the so-called Höerhof in Idstein .
The first broadcast took place at that time only in the regional program of the Hessischer Rundfunk and the Südwestfunk . It was not until July to October 1989 that the series ran in the pre-evening program of Norddeutscher Rundfunk .
