Kurt Buecheler

Kurt Buecheler (born July 7, 1915 in Frankfurt am Main ; † June 21, 2004 in Stuttgart ; born Kurt Hermann Buecheler ) was a German actor .

Life

The son of a medical councilor attended the Hochschule für Theater in Frankfurt from 1933 to 1936 after graduating from high school . He made his debut at the Schauspielhaus in Remscheid , to which he belonged until 1938.

He then completed his labor service and was drafted until 1945, but at the same time belonged to the Thalia Theater in Hamburg from 1940 to 1945 . In 1944 he played Dr. Butcher in The Beaver Fur . In 1945 he took on the title role in Faust I at a performance in the courtyard of Weilburg Castle .

From 1945 to 1949 he worked at the Frankfurt Municipal Theaters . Here he embodied Peter Peter in Ingeborg von Curt Goetz , Eilers in Des Teufels General , Posa in Don Carlos and Pylades in Iphigenie on Tauris .

In 1949 he moved to the Hebbel Theater in Berlin , where he was a member until 1951. Here he was seen as Happy in Death of a Salesman and as Boris in Die Gerechten . From 1951 to 1969 he was engaged at the Staatliche Bühnen Berlin . His roles included Peter in the world premiere of Albee's Die Zoogeschichte (1959), the Guardian Angel in Paul Claudel's The Silk Shoe , August Keil in Rose Bernd , Orest in Elektra by Jean Giraudoux , Dr. Rank in Nora , Dr. Luck in Der Schulfreund , Gorodulin in Ostrowskis A stupid thing makes even the cleverest , Herzog in As You Like It and Hornacher in Biography: A Game .

From 1967 to 1980 Buecheler taught as a professor for speech training at the University of the Arts in Berlin. He continued to appear as a guest at theater performances, for example for the Goethe Institute in Italy in 1971. He worked in film and television productions, including in 1967 as Ernst Torgler in the ARD documentary The Reichstag Fire Trial . He organized lecture evenings and poetry readings with works by Gottfried Benn , Joachim Ringelnatz and Christian Morgenstern . Buecheler, who was married and had a daughter, lived in Stuttgart.
