The Bellafronto Bight is a bay on the Scott Coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It lies northwest of the foot of Mount Discovery on the west side of the Brown Peninsula and extends for 10 km from Hahn Island to Swyers Point .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named her in 1999 after Lieutenant Robert L. Bellafronto (* 1946) of the Civil Engineer Corps of the United States Navy , who was responsible for public relations at McMurdo Station as part of Operation Deep Freeze in 1978 and 1979.
