The title of the third edition of fiction

Fiction was the title of a German literary magazine . It was published from 2006 to 2014 by the Berlin publishing house J. Frank in Berlin, Vienna and Paris and appeared quarterly.

profile

In fiction, mainly young authors who were still unknown and who had not yet had any major publications to show were presented. The texts submitted for publication, prose and poetry , were selected by the editor Johannes CS Frank and an eleven-member board of trustees. The texts were not subject to any subject pressure. Furthermore, the published texts were illustrated by graphic artists. In order to take this into account, the previous title Literatur | Zeit | Schrift was changed to a magazine for literature and illustration after the sixth edition .

Literary reviews or reports on the literary scene were not part of fiction. The editorial part was deliberately kept as small as possible, "only the word should have a say".

In each issue there was a “literary guest” under the heading “Fiction Asks…”. Established writers such as Katharina Hacker , Felicitas Hoppe and Michael Krüger are interviewed here.

Since the sixth edition, the front pages of the fiction have been designed by well-known illustrators such as Felix Scheinberger , Dieter Jüdt and ATAK .

With the appearance of the 13th edition, the publisher announced to discontinue the magazine.

Board of Trustees

Most recently, the board of trustees included Julia Bertschik , Michel Foilay , Caspar Frantz , Walter Homolka , Peter Lampe , Jindrich Lasz , Karen J. Leeder , Felix Scheinberger , Andreas Schmidt, Ron Winkler , Alistair Noon and Stephan Brenn .

Editorial Board

Since the fourth edition of the literary magazine there has been an editorial board that advised the publisher on fundamental directional decisions. Each member of this editorial board wrote a column in the print edition of the magazine. Members of the editorial board included a. Manfred Osten and Anke Feuchtenberger .
