Life

After training as an art glass at the Rheinbach School of Glass , he came to Cologne in 1985 and worked in event management for a long time. In 1999 he carried out the personal art project gratis sample with found collages of every day from 1999.

Brenn is the initiator of the art projects crucifix and mousetrap , Museum for Related Art and the Ministeckiade Cologne . His work includes painting , drawing , sculpture and photography as well as film , installation and performance with music. Burning can be of the finds its surroundings inspire . He is looking for remnants of the urban world of consumption and work at flea markets, in bulky waste, at construction sites and, above all, on daily forays through the city. Disused technical devices, outdated forms , pieces of metal and wires , often broken or deformed, form the basis of his work.

The first "wire drawings" have been created since 2005; they were shown in the artwork in Cologne in 2005 and in Düren in 2006. 2007 first wire drawing in the museum - museum for concrete art in Ingolstadt. From 2009 onwards more and more overhead projections. Brenn is the initiator of the art project Museum for Related Art in Cologne with Katrin Bergmann. It was opened in 2004 with the exhibitions hirsch und heute , house altars , plaste and elaste and great melody . He is also the patron of the 1st Ministeckiade Cologne 2004 and the 2nd Ministeckiade Cologne 2005 .
