Ben Marshall (born March 29, 1991 in Salford ) is an English football player .
Career
The striker signed a professional contract with local rivals Crewe Alexandra on July 8, 2009 , in which he had played through all youth teams. Since Marshall did not have a professional contract with Crewe, there was a conflict between the two clubs over the transfer fee for Marshall and Matt Lund, who had changed at the same time . An arbitration tribunal ruled in May 2010 that Stoke would pay Crewe £ 30,000 on behalf of Marshall .
After good preparation, it was announced on August 7th, 2009 that Marshall would be loaned to Northampton Town for the first three months in order to gain initial experience. Then he also played on loan for Cheltenham Town and Carlisle United , but was again part of the Stoke squad in preparation for the 2010/11 season.
On January 31, 2012 Marshall moved to the English second division team Leicester City and signed a contract there for three and a half years.
