Benedikt Sagstetter (born December 30, 2000 in Landshut ) is a German volleyball and beach volleyball player .

Career hall

Sagstetter got into volleyball through his parents. He started his career in 2006 in his hometown Landshut and moved to ASV Dachau in 2014 . Under coach Josef Wolf he played in youth teams and later in the 3rd League South . With a second game right, the player had his first appearances at Bundesliga club TSV Herrsching in 2018/19 . In 2019, Sagstetter was part of the Herrschinger squad. In 2020 he switched to league competitor TSV Unterhaching , where he plays with his older brother Jonas Sagstetter .

Career Beach

Benedikt Sagstetter also plays beach volleyball with his older brother Jonas . The brothers had their first joint appearance in 2013 at the U17 national cup in Damp . In the following years they took part in national championships and German championships in different age groups. In 2015 they became Bavarian champions of the U17 and U18 and 2016 of the U18 and U19. In 2017 they became German U19 champions in Kiel and German U20 champions in Berlin in 2018 . In addition, Benedikt Sagstetter and Rudy Schneider became German U18 champions in Haltern am See in 2017 and German U19 champions in Kiel in 2018. In 2019 the brothers also played on the Techniker Beach Tour in Dresden . Subsequently, Benedikt Sagstetter and Rudy Schneider became vice European champion at the U20 tournament in Gothenburg . Moritz Klein was then his partner on the Techniker Beach Tour . After the end in the group phase of the first tournament of the Comdirect Beach Tour 2020 , the brothers qualified for the German beach volleyball championship in September at the second tournament .
