Bengt Tragårdh

Bengt Trägerårdh (born September 24, 1958 ) is a former Swedish racing driver .

Career

Bengt Trägerårdh started his motorsport career in formula racing . In 1978 he was runner-up in the Swedish Formula Ford 1600.

In 1979 he drove for the Meltonian Racing team in a Ralt RT1 in various Formula 3 championships. He took part in four races in Swedish Formula 3 and was fourth in the overall standings. In the British Formula 3 Championship he competed in five races and finished 20th with one point. In the German Formula 3 he drove one and in the European Formula 3 Championship two races.

A year later he achieved the runner- up title in Swedish Formula 3 on a March 803 . In the British Formula 3 Championship he started in six races and was ultimately 14th in the overall standings. He was able to improve this season result in 1981 with a 13th place for the David Price Racing team . In the 1980 Wendy Wool's Formula 3 race , he finished third.

In the European Formula 3 Championship from 1980 to 1982 he only competed in one race per season. He achieved his best placement in 1982 with the 22nd place.

In 1981 he won the Formula Super Championship in Sweden with the Top Print Reklam team .

After a long break, he competed in the Porsche 944 Turbo Cup in 1986 , 1987 and 1989 . His best result came in 1987 with third place.

In 1990 Bengt Trägerårdh competed in a Porsche 962C in the 1st division of the Interseries at the race in Zeltweg and finished 21st at the end of the season. Then he ended his motorsport career.
