Beni ( Nepali बेनी ) is a village and a former Village Development Committee (VDC) in the Solukhumbu district of the Sagarmatha administrative zone in eastern Nepal .
Beni is located south of the High Himalayas , 60 km southwest of Mount Everest . The VDC is bounded in the east by the upper reaches of the Solu Khola . In the south is Salleri . Since the end of 2014, Beni has been part of the newly founded city of Dudhkunda .
Residents
The VDC Beni had 1575 inhabitants (754 of them male) in 395 households at the 2011 census.
