Salleri ( Nepali सल्लेरी ) is a village and a former Village Development Committee (VDC) in the Solukhumbu District of the No. 1 Province in Eastern Nepal .

Salleri is located in the High Himalayas , 65 km south-southwest of Mount Everest . It lies in the upper river valley of the Solu Khola and essentially includes the towns of Salleri and Phaplu.

The district administration is located in Salleri. The airfield Phaplu Airport is located north of the city Salleri. Salleri can be reached by road from the Sunkoshi river valley .

Salleri has been part of the newly founded city of Dudhkunda since the end of 2014 .

Residents

The VDC Salleri had 6590 inhabitants (3183 of them male) in 1682 households at the 2011 census.
