Benjamin Franklin Medal (Royal Society of Arts)
The Royal Society of Arts Benjamin Franklin Medal was established in 1956 on the 250th birthday of Benjamin Franklin and the 200th anniversary of his membership in the Royal Society of Arts .
The medal is awarded by the Royal Society of Arts to individuals, groups and organizations who have made profound efforts in Anglo-American understanding in areas closely related to the agenda of the Royal Society of Arts. It is also awarded to those who contribute to world issues brought about by the connection between the United States and Britain.
The medal is awarded annually, alternating between the USA and Great Britain.
