ROOTLESS ist eine österreichische Hardcore Band. Die 5-köpfige wiener Truppe bezeichnet ihren Stil als Vienna Moshcore, der sich aus Hardcore, Metalcore,Deathcore und Trashmetal zusammensetzt. Im Februar 2008 veröffentlicht die Band ihre erste EP Welcome to the Pit und etablierte sich dadurch schnell. Nicht einmal ein halbes Jahr später erschien ihre zweite EP Hated Since Day One mit der sie ihren Vienna Moshcore Stil weiterentwickelten und eine breits beachtliche Fanbase um sich scharrten. Rootless gab im Jahr 2009 Hated Since Day One für ihre Fans zum gratis download auf Rapidshare frei, um zu beweisen das Rootless für Musik steht und nicht für Geld.

Im Julie 2010 begab sich Rootless ins Studio um ihre erste CD Dominate the Chaos aufzunehmen. Mir ihrem neuen Produzenten Michael Kronstorfer von der Band Before the Fall, gelang es Rootless ein episches Meisterwerk mit 14 brutalen und anspruchsvollen Songs zu erschaffen.

Im selben Jahr wurde die harte Arbeit der Band belohnt in dem das belgische Musiklabel Ultimhate Records Rootless unter vertrag nahm. Die CD Dominate the Chaos wird am 25.02.2011 veröffentlicht und kann auf der ganzen Welt auf Portalen wie dem Nuclearblast Online Shop oder Amazon bestellt werden. Natürlich wird es auch möglich sein die CD ab 2011 im Saturn, oder Media Markt zu bestellen, sowie via Itunes zu downloaden.

Rootless ist bekannt für ihre actiongeladenen Konzerte und teilten bereits die Bühne mit namhaften Bands wie All Shall Perish, Sworn Enemy, Born from Pain, Warbringer, Scars of Tomorrow, Hand To Hand, 25 ta Life, Mystic Circle, The Sorrow, Dying Humanity, Godless Crusade, A Traitor Like Judas, Stigma, Before the Fall und vielen weiteren österreichischen Bands.

Rootless stands for a unique mix of many different genres,combined in one emotionally charged package.

In February 2008 the first EP Welcome To The Pit was released and set new standards for the Austrian Metal scene. With this EP Rootless also was finally able to establish their self-created genre VIENNA MOSHCORE once and for all.

Not even 8 months later Rootless released their second EP Hated Since Day One, which takes the VMC-Style one step further. To prove that Rootless is about music and not about money, the band provided the whole EP as a free download for people around the world.

In July 2010 Rootless recorded their first full length album Dominate the Chaos. Together with their new producer, the guys from Rootless recorded their by far most epic CD, including 14 tracks of pure emotion and hard-edged brutality.

Also in 2010 ROOTLESS signed in Ultimhate Records. Their first studio album Dominate the Chaos will be released on February 25th 2011 everywhere around the world.
