Benzion hedgehog

Benzion Igel (born March 18, 1838 in Mościska , † July 1, 1898 in Baden ) was an Austrian mathematician from Galicia .

Life

Benzion Igel worked from 1874 to 1892 as a mathematical consultant for the life insurance companies Azienda and Phönix and from 1879 was also a private lecturer for the theory of determinants , invariants and covariants , newer algebra and analytical geometry at the Technical University in Vienna .

On October 6, 1888, Benzion Igel was accepted as a member ( matriculation no. 2751 ) of the Leopoldina Scholars' Academy .
