He worked with the architect Edwin Oppler on his buildings and constructed various buildings, primarily in the style of the Hanover architecture school .

Around 1910, the Social Democrat Robert Leinert reported in the Prussian House of Representatives that the master bricklayer and entrepreneur Beplate had locked his workers out in the course of a labor dispute during the construction of a varnish boiling plant for the railway workshops in Leinhausen . As a result, the Hanoverian railway administration and the railway workshops provided him with two columns of 8 to 10 bricklayers each, for which the workers were given a week's leave of absence by the railway administration. However, if Beplate refused to “ strike ”, the workers had been threatened with dismissal by the railway administration. The "interference in the wage war" by the railway administration, which was partisan for the employer Beplate, was also reinforced by the transport of the bricklayers who were on leave to break a strike on the "workers' trains" set up especially for railway workers.
