Bergen is a small town in the municipality of Wang in the Freising district in Bavaria, west of Moosburg an der Isar and about 44 kilometers from Munich .

history

The first written mention of Bergen was in 722 when the place was still called "Perge". Later, in the first tax book of 1465, the village was called "Pergaren". The name goes back to the fact that the place was seen from the Ampertal as a settlement on a mountain.

Bergen can be reached once a day by MVV Munich bus on the 681 bus line. Otherwise, two district roads, the FS 16 and the FS35, lead through the village. The closest motorway connection ( Bundesautobahn 92 ) is 8 kilometers to the southeast.
