use

Some types of mountain fennel, especially the medicinal root or frankincense mountain fennel ( Seseli libanotis ), were already used in antiquity as a remedy ( e.g. in the Materia medica of Pedanios Dioskurides , for example as a menstrual stimulant / abortion, for uterine cramps, shortness of breath, chronic cough, abdominal pain , Viscera, recurrent fever and as warming) are recommended. Because of the risk of confusion with other, sometimes highly poisonous umbellifers such as the hemlock species, we advise against using wild plants that you have collected yourself.
