Bergfest is a German feature film from 2008 . Directed by Florian Eichinger , Anna Brüggemann , Peter Kurth , Martin Schleiß and Rosalie Thomass play the leading roles .
action
A weekend in the Alps. The 25-year-old actor Hannes unexpectedly meets his father in the family's own mountain hut, with whom he has had no contact for 8 years. But the aging theater director seems to have changed under the influence of his teenage girlfriend Lavinia, and Hannes gets to know his father from a new perspective. Hannes' friend Ann also tries to get behind the surface of the strained father-son relationship, where she hopes to find the key to her own relationship problems with Hannes. But the path to a new, cautious closeness leads all four to their limits and soon confronts them with their inner abysses.
The central theme of the film is the mechanisms and effects of emotional violence in the parent-child relationship , especially with regard to the later partnership relationships of the victim. While in the public perception abuse is primarily associated with physical assault, in psychology the consequences of injuries caused by emotional violence are classified as no less serious.
Production conditions
The 89-minute chamber drama was created without public funding and without the participation of the broadcaster. Due to the limited budget of around 50,000 euros, the 15-person team had no more than 10 days of shooting, which took place from January 8th to January 17th, 2008 in the Bavarian Alps.
