history
The mountain mill belonged to Josef Vogl in 1798. Then it changed hands several times and in 1893 came to Sebastian Kraus from the dance mill near Döllnitz . He founded the Kraus sawmill in Bergmühle around 1900 , which is still in operation today (2019).
In 1916 Sebastian Kraus built a brick factory in Bergmühle. In 1922 he sold it to Wallner, Tirschenreuth .
In 1923 the board store of the Kraus sawmill burned down.
Wallner built the brickworks house in 1927. In 1928 the brickworks closed for economic reasons. The company was taken over by the company Krapf und Trinklein, Weiden. In 1929 Alfons Buligan bought the brickworks and the house.
In 1931 the box-making shop and the steam saw burned in the Kraus sawmill. In 1937 the stable, barn and outbuildings of the mountain mill burned down.
The brick factory was converted into a GmbH in 1950. In 1957, operations were stopped because the clay deposits were exhausted.
The Kraus sawmill remained in family ownership. The operation of the grinding mill was stopped.
