Berik Äbdirachmanow ( Kazakh Берік Әбдірахманов , Russian Берик Абдрахманов , Berik Abdrachmanow ; born May 12, 1986 ) is a Kazakh boxer .

Career

amateur

In 2010, Äbdirachmanow was lightweight world champion in Camp Lejeune (-60 kg).

At the Asian Championships in 2013 he won after victories a. a. in the semifinals over Anwar Junussow , Tajikistan (2: 1) and in the final over Sailom Adi , Thailand (2: 1), the gold medal. At the World Championships in the same year, Äbdirachmanow reached the semifinals after victories over Danielito Zorrilla , Puerto Rico (2: 1), Robert Harutyunyan, Germany (3: 0), and Luis Arcón , Venezuela . In this he faced the later world champion Lázaro Álvarez , Cuba , to whom he was defeated with 2: 1 judges' votes, with which Äbdirachmanow won a bronze medal.

In 2014, Äbdirachmanow was surprisingly eliminated from the Asian Games in the first fight against the Jordanian and later bronze medalist Obada al-Kasbeh with 2-1 judges' votes.

AIBA Pro Boxing

Since October 2014, Äbdirachmanow has started in the newly founded professional area "APB" of the IOC recognized world association AIBA. In the first cycle, Äbdirachmanow was able to win his three fights against David Oliver Joyce (Ireland), Charly Coronel Suarez (Philippines) and Robson Conceição (Brazil) and was in the final of the "APB" lightweight in Astana against the Uzbek Hurshid on January 30, 2015 Tojibaev. He won this fight with once 78:74 and twice 77:75 points. This qualified Äbdirachmanow for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro .
