The Berlin Show Orchestra is a project by the production company Legrain Productions .

history

There are various details about the foundation process. The actor, director and musician Lenn Kudrjawizki stated at the beginning of 2017 that he founded the orchestra in 2014 together with Stefan Lohmann, an artist relations manager. Other sources name the year 2015 as the year of foundation and the conductor Felix Neumann as another founder. In today's self-account, Kudrjawizki's wife, the violinist Nora Kudrjawizki, is also named as a founding member.

The first major performance took place in 2015 in Frankfurt am Main in front of around 10,000 spectators. It was a commissioned production for the Hessian radio on the day of German unity . The radio station Hr1 presented the three-hour 80's Classics program with international star guests Jimmy Somerville , Howard Jones and Nik Kershaw .

Since then, the orchestra from Berlin has taken on commissioned productions for various events such as the German Sustainability Award , the Live Entertainment Award , the Famab Award, the opening of an international garden show, the 800th anniversary of Oranienburg and the Leipzig Opera Ball and accompanied national and international stars such as Ute Lemper and Billy Ocean , Schiller , Marlon Roudette , Nik Kershaw, Jimmy Somerville and Howard Jones.

The orchestra describes itself as the “first sustainable orchestra” in the sense of “ sustainable and climate-neutral events and tours”. It is supported by First Climate .
