Lenn Kudrjawizki (born October 10, 1975 in Leningrad , Soviet Union ) is a German actor and musician .

biography

Lenn Kudrjawizki came with his parents at the age of two months from Leningrad to East Berlin , where his father was employed as a scientist and his mother worked as an interpreter. He discovered playing the violin and at the age of 6 he performed with the Leningrad State Ballet . He attended a musical high school, where he took acting, singing and violin lessons. In Dresden he finally studied violin.

He made his TV debut in 1994 with the film Katrin and Wladimir . In it he plays a young man suffering from leukemia who falls in love with another patient. In 2000, Kudrjawizki played a supporting role in the international production Duell - Enemy at the Gates by Jean-Jacques Annaud . In 2001 he played the lead role in the feature film Kiki und Tiger , directed by the Swiss Alain Gsponer . For this acting performance, Kudrjawizki was nominated for the German Film Award 2002.

From 2001 to 2006, Kudrjawizki was part of the permanent ensemble of the RTL series Section 40 . At the same time, he worked in various cinema and television productions, such as in PiperMint- Das Leben, possibly in the Oscar-premiered film Die Fälscher by Stefan Ruzowitzky , in Die Päpstin , in the Paramount production Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit , with Kevin Costner under the direction by Kenneth Branagh and in The Transporter: Refueled - produced and written by Luc Besson and as a commissioner in the ARD series Der Kroatien-Krimi .

In 2006 Lenn Kudrjawizki stepped behind the camera. In the short film Today Is My Day , he not only played the male lead, but also directed. His 2nd directorial work, the short film Thank You Mr. President , was also awarded the title “valuable”, was nominated for the “ First Steps Award 2009” and was awarded the Murnau Short Film Prize 2010. For his directorial work Business As Usual - The Prophet flies with , Kudrjawizki was awarded the Amnesty International Human Rights Prize. The film was shown at festivals around the world and won the Radio Eins Short Film Award 2014 and the Audience Award at the International DC Film Festival.

In addition to his acting career, Kudrjawizki is also musically active. In 2006 he released his first solo album LENN - PopArt and in 2014 his second Colors of Life . He also released the albums Ride On and To The Company with the Berlin band InCiders . In addition to concerts with the Dresden State Operetta and the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra , he founded the first sustainable orchestra, The Berlin Show Orchestra, with his company Legrain Productions, together with Felix Neumann and Stefan Lohmann, and is committed to reducing CO 2 through the sustainability concept.

Kudrjawizki is married to the musician Nora Kudrjawizki, the couple have two children. He is a member of the Federal Drama Association (BFFS) and the German Film Academy .
