The Berlin Football Championship of VBB 1898/99 was the second under the Berlin Association ballgame teams (then under the name Association of German ballgame Clubs (VDB) firmierend) discharged Berlin Football Championship . This year's championship was held again in a group of six participants. At the end of the season, the BFC Prussia and the BTuFC Viktoria 89 were tied, so that a play-off was necessary, in which the BFC Prussia was able to prevail and thus became the Berlin soccer champions of the VBB for the first time. There was not yet a football championship held throughout Germany this season.
Since the first two teams were tied, a play-off was necessary. The first game was canceled when the score was 0-0 due to heavy rainfall. In the replay game, BFC Prussia was able to prevail 3-2 after extra time.
