Berlin-Brandenburg crime marathon
The Berlin-Brandenburg Crime Marathon is the largest crime festival in Berlin - Brandenburg . It took place for the first time in 2010, at that time in just one place, the Freiraum café and restaurant in Prenzlauer Berg . The name is derived from the event that lasted several hours with several authors. The Berlin crime marathon was initiated and organized by Stephan Hähnel . The 2nd Crime Marathon expanded the festival considerably. The event took place from October 28th to 30th, 2011 with the 24 readings from the 29 in twelve districts of Berlin. The 2011 crime marathon was supported by Radio B Zwei , Echo Berlin, the Syndikat and Sony .
In 2012 Stephan Hähnel organized the 3rd Crime Marathon from November 9th to 11th together with Anja Feldhorst. 29 crime authors, such as -ky , Ella Danz , Claudia Puhlfürst , Veit Etzold and Beate Maxian , read at 23 locations in Berlin, such as the crime bookstore Miss Marple, the Kulturhaus Spandau, the Kulturküche Bohnsdorf, the police historical collection and in the Sony Store in the Sony Center . In 2012, supporters of the event were again among others the Syndikat, Sony, Radio B Zwei, but also the Berliner Kurier and others.
40 crime authors took part in the 4th crime marathon in 2013, including authors such as Friedrich Ani , Oliver Bottini , Gregor Weber and Moritz Matthies. The number of venues grew to 35. Among others, the Bavarian State Representation , the Stadtbad Steglitz, the Waldorf Astoria, the Kriminaltheater and the Freudenhaus Hase were there, as well as bookstores such as Starick, Thalia and Pankebuch. Radio Paradiso, livekritik, Sony, the Syndikat, Thalia, the Berliner Kurier and the Goldmann Verlag were some of the supporters of the crime festival from November 22nd to 24th. This crime marathon was organized by Stephan Hähnel and Patrick Baumgärtel.
In 2014 there was a crime marathon, which took place from November 19th to 23rd in Berlin and for the first time also in Brandenburg under the name 5th crime marathon Berlin-Brandenburg, organized by Patrick Baumgärtel and the Reading Culture Berlin eV There were 60 authors such as Horst Eckert , Wolfgang Schorlau , Elisabeth Herrmann and Gunnar Kunz . Reading took place in places such as the television tower, the Joachimsthal railway station , Stadtwerke Potsdam and the Kongresshotel Potsdam. The opening ceremony took place in the Hessian state representation.
In 2015 the Berlin-Brandenburg crime marathon took place with 50 authors such as Bernhard Aichner, Friedrich Ani and Andrea Sawatzki. The opening ceremony was celebrated in the Bavarian State Representation with the authors Anton Leiss-Huber , Harry Kämmerer and Sabine Kornbichler . Manfred Rebhandl, Oliver Bottini and Petra Reski read at the crime prizewinner reading.
In 2016 the Crime Marathon took place from 15. – 20. November.
