Gregor Weber (actor)
Gregor Weber (born August 28, 1968 in Saarbrücken ) is a German actor , author and cook .
Life
Gregor Weber studied at the drama school in Frankfurt am Main after being on stage for the first time in the theater at the Saarland University in Saarbrücken .
He became known as Stefan Becker in the television series Family Heinz Becker . From 2001 he played in the Saarland crime scene superintendent Stefan Deininger , the assistant of superintendent Max Palu , played by Jochen Senf . From 2006 on he formed the team of investigators together with Maximilian Brückner (in the role of Franz Kappl ) . After filming the seventh episode with this duo (broadcast in January 2012), their contracts were no longer renewed.
Weber was also seen in some television productions such as Stauffenberg . On February 22, 2009, the 14-minute short film Toy Land by director Jochen Alexander Freydank , in which Weber plays the role of SS man Werner, received the Oscar for best short film .
In addition to his work as an actor, he completed an apprenticeship as a chef at Kolja Kleeberg's star restaurant VAU in Berlin , which he successfully completed in 2006. His experiences during this training and while working in various restaurant kitchens were written in the book Cooking is War! Published on the stove with German professional chefs . Weber is also active as an author; In 2011, Knaus Verlag published his first crime thriller, Feindverführung with the investigator Kurt Grewe. In July 2013, the second detective novel in this series came out under the title No forgiveness .
Weber is a reservist in the Bundeswehr . In 2013 he worked as a sergeant in the reserve for three and a half months in the Bundeswehr mission in Afghanistan , where he looked after journalists and wrote texts for the armed forces media. Weber has been a full-time soldier in the German Armed Forces since 2018.
Private
Weber is married and has two children. After a ten-year phase in his adopted home Berlin , he has been living in Gauting in Bavaria , the home village of his wife, a screenwriter and dramaturge, since summer 2009 . The actress Marianne Riedel-Weber was his aunt.
