Bernard Charrier

Bernard Louis Marie Charrier (born August 4, 1938 in Nantes , France ) is a French clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic Bishop of Tulle .

Life

Bernard Louis Marie Charrier was ordained a priest on June 29, 1964 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Tulle on January 22, 2001 . He was ordained episcopate on April 22nd of the same year by the Bishop of Nantes , Georges Soubrier PSS ; Co- consecrators were Gaston Poulain PSS, Bishop of Périgueux , and Robert Sarrabère , Bishop of Aire and Dax .

On December 12, 2013, Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation. On April 6, 2017, Pope Francis appointed him Apostolic Administrator of Aire and Dax for the duration of the Sedis vacancy that lasted until December 17 of the same year .
