Patrick Le Gal (born January 14, 1953 in Ermont ) is auxiliary bishop in Lyon .

Life

The bishop of Lausanne , Geneva and Friborg, Pierre Mamie , ordained him a deacon on March 21, 1982 and the bishop of Sion , Henri Schwery , ordained him a priest on December 8, 1982 .

John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Tulle on September 12, 1997 . The episcopal ordination donated him the Archbishop of Bordeaux , Pierre Étienne Louis Cardinal Eyt , on December 7th of the same year; Co- consecrators were Léon Soulier , Bishop of Limoges , and Jean-Charles Thomas , Bishop of Versailles . As a motto he chose Caritas Christi urget nos .

The Pope appointed him military bishop of France on May 23, 2000 . Benedict XVI. appointed him on October 7, 2009 titular bishop of Arisitum and appointed him auxiliary bishop in Lyon .
