Bernardino Marchió

Bernardino Marchió (born November 18, 1945 in Busca , Italy ) is an Italian clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic Bishop of Caruaru .

Life

Bernardino Marchió was ordained a priest on June 29, 1968 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him coadjutor bishop of Pesqueira in Brazil on March 27, 1991 . The Bishop of Palmares , Acácio Rodrigues Alves , ordained him episcopal on June 29 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Sebastiano Dho , Bishop of Saluzzo , and Manuel Palmeira da Rocha , Bishop of Pesqueira. He chose SPE GAUDENTES as his motto .

With the resignation of Manuel Palmeira da Rocha on May 26, 1993, he followed this in the office of Bishop of Pesqueira. On November 6, 2002, he was appointed Bishop of Caruaru .

On July 10, 2019, Pope Francis accepted Bernardino Marchió's resignation due to reasons of age.
