Bernardo Laureiro , full name José Bernardo Laureiro Alves , (born February 2, 1992 in Melo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.78 meter tall midfielder Laureiro played for the Melo Wanderers before starting his professional career. At the beginning of his career he was in the ranks of the Uruguayan first division club Defensor Sporting . He then played on loan for Cerro Largo FC . With Cerro Largo FC, he rose to the Primera División in 2011 . He is also said to have belonged to the club in the 2011/12 season. The Cerro Largo FC, however, according to their own statements, does not have him in the squad that season and instead only shows a team membership for the 2010/11 season. After his time at the Melo club, he returned to Defensor. In February 2013 he moved to Chile and joined the Athletic Club Barnechea in the Primera B to. There he played three league games and scored two goals. On January 2, 2014, the then coached by Florencio Leiva , Club Deportivo Walter Ferretti , based in the Nicaraguan capital Managua , announced the commitment of Laureiro for the upcoming Torneo Clausura. Laureiro later stated that this was the first transfer offer from another club he had received. In the league, he came there for the first time on January 12, 2014 in the 2-0 away win against Real Madriz . So far (as of July 12, 2016) he has played a total of 87 league encounters and scored 26 goals. He was also used four times (one goal) in the CONCACAF Champions League 2015/16 .

National team

Laureiro was a member of the Uruguayan U-15 team coached by Fabián Coito , which took part in the U-15 South American Championship in Brazil in 2007 and finished second behind the host country. He was part of the Uruguayan team at the U-17 South American Championship in 2009 . There he came at least in the game played in Iquique against Venezuela to use and scored one goal. He was also part of the Uruguayan U-17 squad at the 2009 U-17 World Cup in Nigeria . He was used four times in the tournament. He didn't score a hit.
