Bernd Melichar

Bernd Melichar (born May 31, 1963 in Graz ) is an Austrian newspaper journalist , columnist and editor of the Kleine Zeitung in Graz.

Bernd Melichar studied by the HAK - Matura English literature and history . He has been editor of the Kleine Zeitung since 1989 , before that he worked for the Austria Press Agency in Graz and the Kurier . He worked in the local editorial team for around ten years before moving to the inserts department. Since 2008 he has been deputy head of the insert editorial team at the Kleine Zeitung , and is currently deputy head of the Culture, TV & Media department and head of the Sunday magazine . His specialty are reports on current events. Melichar is also responsible for the “ pop music ” area within the Kleine Zeitung .

Together with his colleague Ute Baumhackl , Bernd Melichar writes his Sunday satire column You and He in the Kleine Zeitung , in which everyone tells their stories about the annoyances and joys of everyday life. The collected contributions of the two authors have also been published as a book.
