Bernd Wolf (born April 30, 1955 in Burg (near Magdeburg) ) is a German politician ( CDU ). From March 18 to October 3, 1990 he was a member of the first and last freely elected People's Chamber and from 1990 to 2004 a member of the Thuringian Landtag in the first, second and third electoral periods, each directly elected in constituency 20 Sonneberg II / Hildburghausen II .

Life and work

After attending the Polytechnic High School "Herman Kasten" in Staßfurt , he attended the EOS " Geschwister Scholl " in Burg (near Magdeburg) until he graduated from high school. From 1973 to 1975 Wolf did military service in the NVA. He then studied stomatology in Halle / Saale at the Martin Luther University . Since 1981 he worked as a dentist in the district health facility ( Poliklinik ) Hildburghausen , where he also passed his specialist examination.

Bernd Wolf is Protestant and married to Sabine Wolf (née Rublack) and they have two sons (Andreas, * 1978 and Michael, * 1979) and a daughter (Ursula, * 1986). He has lived with his family in Schleusingen in Thuringia since 1981 .

Political party

Bernd Wolf has been a member of the CDU since 1988 .

MP

From the 1990 Volkskammer election on March 18 to German reunification on October 3, 1990, he was a member of the first and last freely elected Volkskammer. He was elected in constituency 15 (Suhl). Since October 1990 he has been a member of the Thuringian state parliament . Among other things, he was deputy parliamentary group chairman and chairman of several parliamentary committees of inquiry, including the first committee of inquiry of the Thuringian state parliament, "which was supposed to clarify the power structures that arose under the SED regime and to continue to investigate whether and to what extent people were burdened by their political past ... have been appointed or left in managerial positions in the state of Thuringia ”. From 1994 to 2004 Bernd Wolf was chairman of the state advisory board for data protection in Thuringia.

He was also active in local politics in the Schleusingen city council.
