Bernhard Grund

Friedrich Wilhelm Bernhard Grund (born November 25, 1872 in Breslau ; † October 21, 1950 in Königs Wusterhausen ) was a German lawyer, entrepreneur and DDP politician.

Life

Grund was born the son of a manufacturer. After graduating from high school, he began to study law and political science at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität . In 1892 he was reciprocated in the Corps Palatia Bonn . As an inactive , he moved to his home university in Wroclaw . He passed both state exams and was awarded a Dr. iur. PhD . From 1904 he was a government assessor, then went on a study trip and from 1905 worked in the family's drug and chemical wholesaler Goldener Becher in Wroclaw. In 1907 he became a co-owner of the company, which he managed until 1945.

Grund was president of the Wroclaw Chamber of Commerce from 1920 . During the time of the Weimar Republic he was a member of the Provisional Reich Economic Council and served as President of the German Industry and Trade Congress from 1931 to 1933 . He promoted the expansion of the Wroclaw University of Technology . The Silesian Friedrich Wilhelms University awarded him the title of Honorary Senator .

MP

From 1911, reason was a member of the Breslau magistrate and from 1913–1918 a member of the Prussian House of Representatives . He was a member of the Prussian State Constitutional Assembly from 1919 to 1921, and was then a member of the Prussian State Parliament until his resignation on October 22, 1924 .
