Bernhard Kaewel

Bernhard Kaewel (born December 2, 1862 in Schlobitten , † April 8, 1917 in Oberweistritz near Schweidnitz ) was a German politician .

Life

Born as the son of a student, Kaewel studied law in Berlin , Bonn and Königsberg after attending grammar school in Gumbinnen . During his studies he became a member of the Alemannia Bonn fraternity in 1883 . After exams and legal clerkship , he worked as a lawyer in Hameln from 1893 to 1894 and then became mayor of Ruhrort until 1905 . After spending some time in Berlin for scientific studies, he became mayor in 1907 and lord mayor of Schweidnitz in 1908 . He was lieutenant of the Landwehr - infantry .
