Bernhard Maria Fuchs (born December 23, 1959 in Regensburg ; † February 5, 2014 , also known as Bernd Fuchs ) was a German painter .

Life

Bernhard Maria Fuchs was born in Regensburg in 1959 and grew up in the Bavarian Forest and in Neumarkt / Opf. on. From 1983 to 1990 he attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg, since then he has lived as a freelance artist. From 1987 to 1990 he was one of the members of the artist group “Heller Glimmer” in Augsburg, along with Harry Meyer , Bernhard Wurzer and Hans Kirsch . He went on numerous study trips, including through Morocco, Cape Verde, New Zealand, Australia, Indonesia, Nepal, Malaysia, Hawaii and many European countries. Bernhard Maria Fuchs last lived in Wappersdorf, a district of the Upper Palatinate community of Mühlhausen .

Services

In 1995, Fuchs received the Nürnberger Nachrichten sponsorship award in recognition of his work. In 1997 a China scholarship from the Association Yunnan of Fine Arts - BBK Schwaben Nord and Augsburg followed. In 1998 he took part in the Kulmbach artist symposium. In 2002 he again received the Nürnberger Nachrichten sponsorship award, and in 2007 the Neumarkt City Culture Award. In 2010 he gave guest lectures at the Academy of Design + Art in Beijing. In 2012 he was also awarded the advancement award of the Art Circle Jura.
