Bernhard Philipp Droysen
Bernhard Philipp Droysen (born December 29, 1722 in Dersekow ; † June 19, 1786 ) was a German Evangelical Lutheran clergyman.
Life
Bernhard Philipp Droysen was the eldest son of Dersekow pastor Dionysius Caspar Droysen. From 1740 he studied theology in Greifswald , where he disputed a few years later under Balthasar and Overkamp . Then he went to Baumgarten in Halle .
After returning to Greifswald in 1750, he was promoted to Dr. theol. PhD. As a private lecturer , he read logic and metaphysics and gave lessons in Hebrew .
From 1755 to 1762 he administered the diaconate and early preaching office at the Nikolaikirche in Stralsund . From 1762 to 1786 he then held the archdeaconate .
The mathematician and astronomer Johann Friedrich Droysen was his nephew.
