Bernhard von Arx

Bernhard von Arx (born March 15, 1924 in Zurich ; † September 27, 2012 in Richterswil ) was a Swiss writer .

Life

Bernhard von Arx studied law , German , history and didactics at the University of Zurich . After graduating as Dr. phil. Bernhard von Arx worked as a high school teacher in Zurich. For many years he was a lecturer at the Volkshochschule Zürich and a permanent lecturer for German didactics at the University of Zürich. Bernhard von Arx became known with various radio and TV productions in the 1960s, including for Swiss television .

From 1980 he had devoted himself increasingly to the historical novel and the writing of radio plays and screenplays. Bernhard von Arx was the father of three children and lived in Richterswil.
