Bernhard von Mallinckrodt (Canon)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bernhard von Mallinckrodt (* around 1600 ; † May 8, 1676 ) was a Roman Catholic clergyman and canon in Münster .

Life

Origin and family

Bernhard von Mallinckrodt came as the son of Rembert von Mallinckrodt zu Küchen and his wife Agnes Freitag zu Löringhoven of the Westphalian noble family von Mallinckrodt from the county of Mark , named after the ancestral home of Burg Mallinckrodt . His uncle, the cathedral dean Bernhard von Mallinckrodt , had been removed from his office because of a conflict with his nephew, the prince-bishop of Galen ; because of the similarity of names, the younger Mallinckrodt is listed as Bernhard von Mallinckrodt the Younger . Heinrich , another uncle, was cathedral vicar in Münster and cathedral cantor in Osnabrück.

Act

On October 9, 1647, Bernhard came into the possession of the cathedral priest of the late Canon Everhard Schade. He studied at the University of Angoulême and presented his diploma on July 17, 1652. On May 2, 1664 he received the minor orders and became a subdeacon . On November 14, 1670, he came into the possession of the Archdeaconate Stadtlohn, which he returned on November 19, 1672 and opted for the Archidakonat Auf dem Drein .
