Bernward Dörner

Bernward Dörner (born November 5, 1956 in Krefeld ) is a German contemporary historian and anti-Semitism researcher .

Life

Dörner studied history and German in Cologne and Berlin . He was doctoral fellow of the Hans Böckler Foundation and was held at the Technical University of Berlin with a thesis on the development, design and tracking effect of perfidy Act of 20 December 1934 doctorate while working as a teacher at the Berlin School Center Edith Stein.

He then completed his habilitation at Faculty 1 of the TU Berlin on the subject of “The murder of European Jews and German society. Knowledge and attitude of the population 1941–1945 ”. Dörner is an adjunct professor of modern history, with a special focus on contemporary history, at the Center for Research on Antisemitism at the TU Berlin.

He lives in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg .
