Berthold Herrendorf

Berthold Herrendorf (born March 13, 1964 in Düsseldorf ) is a German economist .

Life

Herrendorf studied mathematics and economics at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn (Diplom-Volkswirt 1992) and the US-American Indiana University (MA in Economics 1989). In 1996 he was at the European University Institute in Fiesole , Metropolitan Florence doctorate ( PhD ).

He was then a lecturer at the University of Warwick , England (1996–2002), Assistant Professor at the University of Carlos III Madrid , Spain (1999–2002), Associate Professor at the University of Carlos III (2002–2003) and part-time professor at the University of Southampton . Since 2003 he has been at the WP Carey School of Business at Arizona State University , where he is now a professor.

He has been a member of the Catholic student union KDSt.V. since 1984 . Ripuaria Bonn in the CV .

Act

Berthold Herrendorf's research interests are the growth and development of the global economy as well as political economy. He has published numerous articles in international journals such as The Economic Journal , Journal of International Economics , Journal of Money, Credit and Banking , Review of Economic Dynamics , International Economic Review , Journal of the European Economic Association , American Economic Journal - Macroeconomics , American Economic Review and Review of Economic Studies published.

Herrendorf, No. 63 on the list of the Top 100 Foreign Economists of the Handelsblatt , was the organizer of the Economic Development Conference 2006 and the NBER Economic Growth Conference 2008 , together with the Federal Reserve Bank , in San Francisco.
