Berthold Kruger

Berthold Krüger (born March 26, 1877 in Hoppenrade ; † February 11, 1941 there ) was a German politician (DNVP).

Live and act

Kruger attended elementary school . Later he was privately tutored. He then trained in agriculture and fruit growing from 1892 to 1902. From 1902 he became an independent farmer.

In 1905 Krüger began to be active in public. He devoted himself mainly to agricultural interests. From 1913 to 1918 Krüger was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives as a representative of the National Liberals as a member of the constituency of Koblenz 1 (Wetzlar) . After the First World War , Krüger joined the German National People's Party (DNVP). In the Reichstag election of June 1920 , he was elected as a candidate for the DNVP for constituency 4 (Potsdam I) in the Reichstag , to which he belonged until December 1924. His mandate was confirmed in the May 1924 election. In addition, he was a member of the Prussian State Council , a member of the district council of the Osthavelland district , a member of the provincial council and the provincial committee of the Brandenburg province, as well as a member of the Hoppenrade municipal council, and chairman of the Brandenburg Land Association. He also wrote economic essays and texts on agricultural issues (nutrition, production).
